Teddy Kent

Teddy is a Nuclear Engineer working on the Mechanisms Engineering Test Loop (METL) at Argonne National Laboratory. He is responsible for the design, fabrication, and demonstration of alkali metal component and instrument technology. The METL facility has been in full operation since the beginning of 2018, and Teddy was awarded an Argonne Pacesetter Award for his efforts during the main sodium fill. Teddy is co-lead on the first experiment operated in the METL facility, which was the Gear Test Assembly (GTA).


He received his BS and MS in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Wisconsin –Madison, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.
