Xianping Zhong's research interests include nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics and artificial intelligence. He is now a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Ban's research group, engaged in the research of nuclear power plant prognosis and health management systems (2019-). Prior to coming to the University of Pittsburgh, he received rigorous scientific training as a doctoral student and obtained a doctorate at Tsinghua University, China (2015-2019).
